Suzanne M. Elder, 70, formerly of Lewistown died at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at Absolute Aurora Park, East Aurora, New York.
Born on March 22, 1944 in Washington D.C. she was a daughter of the late Alfred F. and Barbara (Nevell) McGrath. She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D. Elder.
Sue is survived by: daughter, Colby L. Elder, of Buffalo, NY.
She was a graduate of White Plains High School and the University of Maine earning an accounting degree.
Sue was a self-employed C.P.A. and had worked for Booher & Elder.
Suzanne was a very active member of Sacred Heart Church having served on their school board.
She had worked as a volunteer at the Abuse Network and the Lewistown Hospital.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown with Father Michael Opoki officiating
Interment will take place in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Abuse Network, 31 S. Dorcas St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
All arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
