Mrs Haines was one of most favorite people I have ever known growing up in Mifflin County, . My family attended church with her and I shall never her talking bird she had!!!. Funny, the little things we remember in life. She always dressed so nice, that's one of the other things I remember growing up here.

As the first born child in the family, to Virginia's older brother, Herman Elliott, my Aunt Virginia was one if the first persons I remember at an early age. Since she didn't have children I received much of her love at an early time. Full of enthusiasm, joy and caring she reflected Christianity in everything she did, from playing the piano to telling Bible stories - she was unforgettable. She never, ever forgot my birthday and our lifelong relationship was always positive and joyous! I love her very much. Ewell Elliott.

Our mothers were sisters; Nan & Mary Neal. So many memories of our Neal reunions in Georgia & Florida; so much love and laughter. My last visit in person with Virginia was in 2011 at her home in Pennsylvania with my sister Ann and another cousin, Sarah Johnson McCorkle Thank you, Darryl and Lana, for taking such good care of her .She spoke of it often. She dearly loved all of her family and relatives. She is in good hands now.

Virginia was the most wonderful aunt imaginable; I loved her dearly and am so happy I visited her at the end of December. She was still talking Penn State football and sharing stories of her Georgia childhood, world travels, and Lewistown friends with me. I will miss her but know she had a great 97 years. My special thanks to Darryl and Lana for all the love and care they gave her.
