Charles R. Yeater, 56, of Milroy, died at 6:25 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born October 6, 1960, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Ruth G. (Rager) and Charles R. “Jake” Yeater.
He is survived by: his wife, Georgia L. (Specht) Yeater, whom he married on September 19, 1981; daughter, Abigail V. Krepps and husband, Jason, of Milroy; grandson, Chase J. Krepps, of Milroy; sister, Nadine R. LaFuze and husband, Michael, of Rocky Face, Ga.; niece, Annette LaFuze, of Rocky Face, Ga.; and nephew, Adam LaFuze, of Rome, Italy.
Charlie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Milroy.
He graduated from Kishacoquillas High School, Class of 1978, from Williamsport Area Community College, and Penn State University, earning a bachelor’s degree.
He was a member of the Lewistown Lodge 0203 F&AM and a life member of Milroy Hose Co. #1.
He taught electrical installation at The Academy (former Mifflin-Juniata Area Vo-Tech) for 28 years.
Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was camp cook at the Brook Point Hunting Camp. His loves were: his wife, Georgia; daughter, Abby; grandson, Chase; his students, and living in Milroy.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thurs., Oct. 20, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 129 S. Main St., Milroy, with the Rev. Janice Moody officiating.
A receiving of friends will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Weds., Oct. 19, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a special Masonic ceremony by Lewistown Lodge 0203.
Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
