Susan Elizabeth (Firth) Berich

Susan Elizabeth Berich, 73, of Yeagertown, passed away at 9:23 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born August 9, 1946, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Herbert W. and Mary A. (Cunningham) Firth.

Susan is survived by: her husband, Thomas S. Berich, whom she married in 1963; children, Dr. Bridget F. Berich and husband, Dr. Glenn Carnicelli, of Harrisburg, and Anthony C. Berich and wife, Kristin D., of Lynchburg, Va.; nine grandchildren, Rachel Carnicelli and fiance, Jeff Maenner, Natalie and Alana Carnicelli, and Connor, Colin, Ciaran, Aislynn, Cole and Christian Berich; siblings, Dan Firth and wife, Suzanne, of Lewistown, and Michele McElhaney and husband, Thomas, of State College; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Farrell and husband, Barry, and Gretchen Berich, both of Lewistown; brother-in-law, A. Douglas Berich and wife, Beverly, of Yeagertown; six nephews; a grand-niece; and two grand-nephews.

She was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1964.

Susan was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown.

She was employed at Merchant and Business Insurance Company in Harrisburg and later retired from Dr. Cem Harmanci's office in Lewistown as an office manager and bookkeeper.

Susan loved being around her grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, running and trips to the beach.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tues., June 23, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.

A private memorial service and committal will be held with Father Jayaseelan Amalanathan officiating.

Private interment will take place at Birch Hill Cemetery in Burnham.
