Ronald Yoder Obituary

Ronald E. Yoder, 82, of McVeytown, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born on September 17, 1940, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Lewis and Dorothy (Fagan) Yoder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; a brother, Clyde Yoder, and two sisters, Esther Kauffman, and Francis Cowan.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. (Kauffman) Yoder, whom he married on February 8, 1964; children, Rodney L. Yoder and wife, Kelly, of Lewistown, Roger L. Yoder, of McVeytown, and Kelly (Yoder) Phillips, and husband, John, of Hamilton, VA; grandchildren, Ronald J. Yoder and wife, Kimberly, Alexandra E. Phillips, and Jordan B. Phillips; great-granddaughter, Palmer M. Yoder; and siblings, Sarah Espigh, of Lewistown, Nanny Irvin, of McVeytown, and a twin brother, Robert Yoder, and wife, Marjorie, of Reedsville.

He was a member of Pine Glenn Church of the Brethren.

Ronald graduated from Rothrock High School. He received an associate degree from Williamsport College.

He worked as a telephone engineer for Sprint.

He always put family first. He was a mason, marine, private pilot, carpenter, outdoorsman, and avid reader.  He was a wonderful example of a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and best friend. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

As per his wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The interment will take place at Pine Glen Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
