Ronald Warren Dunmire, Sr.

Ronald Warren Dunmire Sr., 86, of McVeytown, passed away at 8:12 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.  

Born Feb. 24, 1935, in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Warren R. and Goldie (Wagner) Dunmire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, Roy Dunmire and wife, Jesse; maternal grandparents, Jacob Wagner and wife, Nancy; sons, Dennis and David Dunmire; brothers, John, Gary and Glenn Dunmire; and his sister, Nancy Noah.

Ronald is survived by: wife, Shirley A. (Olivo) Dunmire; children, Crystal Rumble and husband, John, of Ga., Ronald W. Dunmire Jr. and wife, Donna, of Pittsburgh, and Lisa Jones and husband, Grant, of Munhall, Pa.; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Debs Olivo and wife, Heidi, of Monroeville.   

He was a graduate of Munhall High School.

Ronald was employed as a mail sorter for the U.S. Postal Service in Pittsburgh before retiring.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Ronald was skilled in woodworking and loved making toys and other items for his grandchildren. 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
