Robert F. Eckhard, 92, of Lewistown, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 10, 1929, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Fay T. and Angeline (Bookwalter) Eckhard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; his wife, Alice J. Eckhard; a daughter, Barbara A. Alley; a brother, David Eckhard; and a sister, Martha Grose; and grandchildren, Donald Leroy Ruby, and Christopher Anthony Ruby. Robert was the last of his immediate family.
He is survived by; a granddaughter, Traci L. Yeater, of Sunbury; and a great-granddaughter, Kayla N. Sullivan, of California.
Robert entered the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War from 1948-1952.
He was a member of the Lewistown Moose Lodge #143 and a life member of VFW Post 7011.
For most of his life, he worked at the American Viscose Company and later for Guardian Industries where he retired in 1994.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, PA 17044, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Randy Hughes.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, with Military Honors by VFW Post 7011.
