Richard L. 'Dick' Kornmann, 82, of Lewistown, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020.
Born Sept. 22, 1937, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Rev. Samuel H. and Alivia (Cressman) Kornmann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. John S. Kornmann.
Richard is survived by his children; Leslie Rutyna, John, Jeffrey, Brian, and Sean Kornmann, and Alyssa Lehr, all of St. Louis, Missouri.
He earned his B.A. Degree in chemistry from Gettysburg College and his PhD from Virginia Tech.
He was an Air Force veteran from April to Nov. 1958 with the 3611th Student Squadron (ATC), Harlingen, Texas.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewistown.
Richard taught chemistry at Indian Valley High School for three years. He was subsequently employed by AMOCO and NALCO Chemical Corporations for 25 years as an industrial chemist.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, followed by the funeral service, at the funeral home, with Rev. Jerri Carlin officiating.
Interment will take place at St. Mark's Community Cemetery, Green Ave., Lewistown.
