Renna Mae (Lukens) Gahagan

Renna Mae Gahagan, 78, of Reedsville, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Dec. 12, 1944, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late George and Irene (Knepp) Lukens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, George Lukens, Thelma Specht, Donna McCartle and Phyllis Bailets.

Renna is survived by: four children, Kenneth Harper Jr. and wife, Kimberly, of Lewistown, Kevin Harper and wife, Renee, of Greenville, N.C., Kerry Harper and wife, Cora, of Lewistown, and Bobby Gahagan, of Reedsville; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert Lukens and wife, Gwen, of Burnham.

Renna attended Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Mifflintown and Big Valley Bible Church in Lumber City, Reedsville.

She was employed as a kitchen worker at Beaver’s Bakery, Angelo’s and Luba’s Restaurants, Overhead Door, Lewistown Hospital, and K-Mart.  Lastly, she was a cafeteria worker for the Mifflin County School District.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.

A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, with Reverend Steven Small officiating.

Interment will take place at Pine Glen Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
