Paul Albert Yetter, 85, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:47 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at his home.
Born March 24, 1934, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Clarence D. and Alba M. (Mattern) Yetter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ezra, William and Gary Yetter.
Paul is survived by: his wife, Bonnie L. (Shoop) Yetter, whom he married April 15, 1956; four children, Timothy Yetter and wife, Julia, Paul Douglas Yetter and wife, Jo, Kelley E. Yetter and wife, Deborah, and Rhonda K. Snyder; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, David Yetter, Gordan Yetter and wife, Nancy, and Bonnie Adams and husband, James.
Paul was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1952. He went on to earn an associate degree in computer drafting and his teaching certification at Penn State University.
After being inducted into the Army, he served overseas with Company A, 498th Engineer Battalion from Aug. 1956 to Aug. 1958, achieving the rank of Specialist 4.
He retired from Mifflin-Juniata Vo-Tech School where he taught computer drafting and design technology. He also worked part-time at Lerch's RV Center.
Paul enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at Calvary Bible Church, 100 Calvary Lane, Lewistown, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ethan Druckemiller officiating.
Interment with military honors will take place at Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
