Margaret C. Aitkin, 82, of Lewistown, passed away at 1:48 a.m., Sunday, February 14, 2021, at her home.
Born Oct. 11, 1938, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd J. and Maryann (Lingle) Goss.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, Perry E. Aitkin; son, Roger L. Aitkin, Jan. 29, 2021; and three sisters.
Margaret is survived by: children, Tammy Woodal and husband, Donnie, of Burnham, Paul Aitkin and companion, Melissa Taylor, of Lewistown, and Teresa Aitkin and companion, Doug Woodward, of McVeytown; daughter-in-law, Sarakathryn “Kathy” Aitkin, of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Joshua Aitkin and wife, Amanda, Mark Aitkin, Dustin Aitkin and companion, Kimberly Lightner, Morgan Aitkin and fiancé, Kevin Bair, and Tanner Woodward; great-grandchildren, Emmalynn Aitkin and Daniel Aitkin; and siblings, William Goss, James Goss, Sara Schlegel, and Barbara Foltz and husband, Steve, all of Milroy.
Margaret was Presbyterian by faith.
She dearly loved her kitty cats and enjoyed gardening and shopping for antiques with her husband, Perry.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Avenue, Burnham.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Little Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Vira Road, Lewistown, with Reverend Robert Zorn officiating. A celebration of life accompanied by a light meal will be held immediately following the graveside service at the Decatur Fire Company Banquet Hall, 4277 US Highway 522 North, Lewistown.
Masks and social distancing protocols will be required.
