June (Milligan) Weinberg

June Weinberg, 68, of Lewistown, passed away early morning Friday, June 17, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Jan. 9, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Pratz) Milligan of Mantua Township, New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Frankenfield, and brothers: Thomas “Butch” Milligan and wife Lil, Robert Milligan and George Milligan (infancy).

June is survived by her second husband Allen Weinberg of Lewistown, her children: Michelle Frankenfield, Stacy Gutshall and husband Scott of Lewistown, David Florence of Mapleton Depot, Jason and Michele Weinberg of Three Springs, and Christine Weinberg of Bellefonte, grandchildren: Thomas, Alyssa, Evan and Ava Gutshall of Lewistown, Jason Weinberg Jr. and wife Hannah, Austin, Sienna and Lucas Weinberg all of Three Springs, and Shaylee, Darlene and Destiney Gardner of Lewistown, one great-grandchild, Allison Weinberg, siblings: Charles Milligan and wife Debbie, of Tennessee, Dorothy "Dottie" Mae Geroe and husband Ed of New Jersey, Pete Milligan and former wife Belinda Norman of Lewistown, and Jane Milligan of New Jersey, former sister-in-law, Marilyn Gray and her husband William "Bill", as well as MANY nieces and nephews.  June was truly loved and will be missed by many family members, friends and former co-workers.

From the time she was 17, June was employed by Kmart, first as a sales associate for both the Mantua and Deptford, N.J. stores before retiring from the Burnham, Pa. location as Toy Department Manager.

June loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also loved her faithful companion, her cat Louie.  In her early years, she enjoyed sewing, crafts and gardening.  June loved wrapping gifts.  People would always remark how they were so beautiful they didn't want to open them. She enjoyed watching Hallmark and HGTV channels, Forensic Files and any shows about animals.  June loved animals and had many pets over the years including horses, cats, dogs, fish, birds, and even a chinchilla named Monk. June enjoyed a peaceful retirement at her home in Goss Terrace, where she was well known for her beautiful flower garden that received many compliments.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2022, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown.
