John F. E. Wileman, Jr., 71, of Lewistown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born April 18, 1950, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late John F.E. Wileman, Sr. and Flo A. (Walls) Wileman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; a daughter, Angel Marie Wileman; brothers, James Wileman and Floyd Wileman, Sr., and a sister, Tammy Wileman-Dull.
He is survived by; his wife, Brenda J. (Powell) Wileman, whom he married Nov.6, 1970; children, John F.E. Wileman III and wife, Rebecca, of Kansas, and Wendy C. Tiernan and companion, Todd Carper, Lewistown; grandchildren, Nikki Trutt and husband, Dakota, David Anderson, John F.E. Wilman IV; Seth Baumgardner, Alexus Sennett and husband, Shane, Devin Wileman and wife, Erica, Michael Tiernan and companion, Zana Norton, and Alyssa Wileman; great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Westen, Carson, Quentin, and Kolstin; siblings, Charles Walls, of Burnham, Rose Bowersox and husband Roy “Skip”, of Lewistown, Thomas Wileman and wife, Tina, of Lewistown, and Robert Wileman and wife, Connie, of McClure; and numerous loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
John was a member of New Life Church.
He served in the United States Army for two years, during the Vietnam War, and served 16 years in the United States Army Reserves, with the last two years in I.R.R.
John retired from the Youth Forestry Camp #3, located in James Creek, PA.
He coached football and baseball. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, going camping, taking part in gun raffles, and watching the Steelers. He loved spending time with all his family.
A receiving of friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. John Walters and Pastor Ray Solt officiating.
Interment will be held in Vira Methodist Cemetery, with special services provided by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
