Joan Elizabeth 'Lib' (Guthridge) Hubler

Joan Elizabeth “Lib” Hubler, 83, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:47 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born May 27, 1938, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Jean (Tate) Guthridge.               

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion, Charles “Chuck” Miller; three brothers, two sisters, two daughters and a grandson.

Joan is survived by: four children, Nina L. Colabine, of Burnham, and Sandra Eward and husband, Ronald, Paula Hubler, and Billy Hubler and wife, Ruth, all of Lewistown; ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Linda Liddick, of Lewistown, Andrew “Gump” Guthridge, of Mifflinburg, and Cindy Zimmerman and husband, Joe, of Shippensburg.      

She was a homemaker.  Lib loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relaxing in her favorite chair and watching television.   

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.

Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
