Jerry M. Taylor, 65, of Lewistown, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born May 11, 1956, in Tuscan, Arizona, he was a son of the late John M, Taylor and June (Walls) Taylor-White and stepfather, Melvin White, of North Carolina.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by; a wife, Candy J. (Stricker) Taylor, whom he married Nov. 4, 1975; a son, Gavin D. Taylor, stationed in Pensacola, FL.; and siblings, Stephen Taylor, Marie, and Melvin Lee White Jr. and wife, Melody, all of NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a 1974 graduate of Aurora High School in North Carolina.
He served in the United States Navy from 1974-1977.
Jerry was a member of the Assembly of God Church, in Burnham.
He worked for Lear for 20 years and lastly at United Chemical Technology as a maintenance supervisor.
Jerry enjoyed being outdoors. He would do anything for his family.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
A second viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Kirk Nagel officiating.
Interment will take place in Church Hill Cemetery, with special services provided by Juniata Veterans Council.
