On March 27, 2020, the soul of Jeanne D. (Moad) Beatty, 92, of Pleasant Acres, Lewistown, took flight and was united with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A devout Christian all her life, her distinctive voice has now been added to God's heavenly choir.
Born May 11, 1927, in Thompsontown, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Stella A. (Wilt) Moad. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Renard F. Beatty Sr., whom she married June 9, 1946, on April 19, 1995; and her brother, Charles D. Moad.
Jeanne is survived by: children, Stanley A. Beatty and wife, Linda, of Kansas City, Mo., Stephen D. Beatty and wife, Paula, of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Lori J. (Beatty) Williams, of Lewistown, and Renard F. Beatty Jr. and wife, Kendall, of Hershey. She enjoyed spending time with each of her 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She attended Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church in Lewistown.
Jeanne worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory in her early years. Later, she was a cook at the Mifflin County Day Care Center for many years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
