Grace E. (Knepp) Rhodes

Grace E. Rhodes, 91, formerly of Milroy and Richfield, passed away at 10:50 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.  

Born Dec. 22, 1929, in Bannerville, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Cutman) Knepp. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, Wilbur A. “Tipp” Rhodes Sr., in Sept. 2017, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage; four brothers; two sisters; and son-in-law, Thomas Richens.  She was the last of her immediate family.

Grace is survived by:  children, Pauline Klingel and husband, Richard, of Middletown, Wilbur A. Rhodes Jr. and wife, Patricia, of New Bloomfield, Delores Richens, of Mifflintown, Marjorie Swartz, of York, and Ronald Rhodes and wife, LouAnn, of Richfield; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was Methodist by faith and a homemaker.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.

An additional viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, May 10, at the Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating. 

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, 9010 US Highway 522 South, Lewistown.
