Gary Lee McClellan

Gary Lee McClellan, 71, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Born on May 3, 1950, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Walter J. McClellan and Gloria J. (Coulter) Earnest and stepfather, Samuel Earnest.

He is survived by his wife, Jane E. (Bordell) McClellan, whom he married on June 3, 1978; six children, Jody McClellan-Bishop, and husband, Daniel, of Reedsville, Christopher S. McClellan, of Milroy, Cory D. McClellan, of McVeytown, Cindy Shouey and husband, Joseph, of Lewistown, Leigh Ann Bishop and husband, Mark, of Lewistown, and Corinna Hockenberry, of Granville; five grandchildren, and a sister, Cheryl Kauffman and husband, Donald.

He attended Lewistown High School.

Gary was a self-employed car mechanic.

He enjoyed hunting rabbit and turkey and was most fond of going deer hunting. He enjoyed going on family beach trips. He loved to be with his family and friends and was known to be able to ‘spark up’ a conversation with anyone. He will be dearly missed.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. John Walters officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
