Evelyn F. Scyoc, 73, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born March 23, 1947, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late James D. and Ida M. (Specht) Hammill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Wesley Hammill, James Hammill Jr., June Shively, Linda Groce, and infant sisters, Florence and Dorothy Hammill.
Evelyn is survived by: her husband, Richard E. Scyoc Sr.; children, Jonathan E. Hammill and wife, Holly, of Richfield, Jody E. Johnson, of Lewistown, Richard E. Scyoc Jr. and wife, Niki, of Lewistown, and Christopher S. Scyoc, of Yeagertown; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Fultz and husband, Robert, of McClure.
She graduated from Lewistown-Granville High School, Class of 1965.
Evelyn was a former member of the Centre Union Church in Lewistown, where she taught Sunday School.
In her earlier years, she was employed at Beaver Bakery, then at both Dairyland and the Arrow Shirt Factory, from where she retired.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor Bob Landis and Mr. Jonathan Hammill officiating.
