Douglas B. Henry, 55, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born August 24, 1967, in Lewistown, he was a son of Ronald E. and Stella L. (Sheaffer) Henry.
He was preceded in death by; a brother, Michael E. Henry.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by; wife, Deborah J. (Parker) Henry; daughters, Ashley Henry and Alyssa (Henry) Brown and husband, Seth, both of Lewistown; siblings, Matthew J. Henry and wife, Amy and Sue A. Hummel, both of Lewistown; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kay and Melvin E. Parker Jr., of Lewistown; brother-in-law, Melvin E. ‘Bub’ E. Parker III and wife, Rebecca, of Lititz; loving nieces and nephews, Maddie Hummel, Tristin Parker, Wyatt, Gage, and Sarah Henry, and Catherine Olson; great-nephew, Leighton Hummel; Grandpups Sydney and Brooks.
Doug was a member of Wesley Chapel U.M.C. in Lockport.
He was a 1985 graduate of Lewistown Area High School, and a 1989 graduate of Penn State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance.
Doug worked in life insurance marketing for MONY, AXA, and the past 15 years for Ash Brokerage.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. He always looked forward to his yearly vacation at the beach in North Carolina, enjoyed weekends at the family pool during the summertime, and going to camp with friends. A former high school athlete, Doug was an avid Penn State, Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Flyers fan.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor and long-time friend, Keith Adams officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
