Dorine May Barnes

Dorine May Barnes, 90, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Wiliam Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 16, 1933, in Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Anna M. (Allison) Nale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, husband, Richard H. Barnes Sr.; children, Vicky L. Barnes, Diane C. Adams, Katherine A. Herto, and William T. Barnes; two sisters, Sally Kohler, and Jenny Ball.

She is survived by; children, Ginger L. Huff, of Chambersburg, Dale E. Barnes, of Lewistown, and Richard H. Barnes Jr. and wife, Connie, of Georgia; nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Dorine was a Burnham High School graduate, Class of 1951.

She attended New Life Church in Burnham.

In her early years she worked at Fisher’s Electronics and at Lewistown Trust company, where she later retired after 16 years of service.

A receiving of friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, with a graveside service to follow at noon, at Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery.
