Donald L. Harper, 77, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at his daughter's home.
Born May 23, 1942, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Roland and Betty (Shea) Harper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Lisa Fields; a sister, Norma Dobson; and his brother, Randy Harper.
Donald is survived by: wife, Judith (Hamman) Harper; children, Tracy Harper and Scott Harper, both formerly of Lewistown, Amy Kintzel and husband, William, and W. Keith Fields and wife, Angela, both of Lewistown; six grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Reese, and Betty Lou Wilkinson and husband, John, both of Carlisle; and half-sisters, Bonnie Faber, of Harrisburg, and Connie Weaver, of Lewistown.
He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, in 1960.
He was a member of Lewistown Assembly of God Church.
Donald was employed as a long-distance truck driver, lastly with Consolidated Freightways for 13 years. After retiring, he worked for Peachey Enterprises in Belleville for several years, and provided transport services for the Amish, which he enjoyed very much. Donald also was a volunteer at Lewistown Hospital.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, followed by a funeral service, at the Lewistown Assembly of God Church, 160 Summit Drive, Lewistown, with Pastor Ron Korzeniowski officiating. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.
