Dolores A. Confer

Dolores A. Confer, 91, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 14, 1928, in Milroy, she was an only child of the late Ella Viola (Close).

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa A. (Confer) Wagner.

She is survived by: husband, Harry H. Confer, whom she shared 72 years of marriage; sons, Jeffrey L. Confer and wife, Judith M., of McClure, and Roger K. Confer, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Derek B. Confer, of Milroy, Erin M. Confer, of Philadelphia, Ellie M. Confer, of Lewistown; and a great-granddaughter, Allison N. Confer.

Dolores was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She was a graduate of Armagh Township High School, Class of 1946.

Earlier in life, she worked at the Royal Dairy and at the Arrow Shirt Factory where she retired after 25 years of service.

Dolores was actively involved in her church. She enjoyed shopping and had a keen eye that could spot a tremendous bargain. She loved to cook for family and friends.

Services are private and held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
