Diana K. Wagner-Wirt, 75, of Burnham, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born Dec. 5, 1947, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. and Margaret A. (King) Wagner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin B. Wirt, April 27, 2014, and brothers, James and Gary Wagner.
Diana is survived by: step-daughter, Marla M. Myrick, of Virginia; brothers, Gary King and wife, Carol, of Lewistown, and John Wagner and wife, Sherree, of Slickville; a number of nieces and nephews; three step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
Diana graduated from Chief Logan High School, Class of 1967.
She was employed as a laborer at the American Viscose Corporation, cleaned offices for the Mifflin County School District and Mann Edge Tool Company, was a baker at Dairyland, and in 1978, was hired by Standard Steel in the melt shop, from which she later retired.
She was a member of Burnham Presbyterian Church, United Commercial Travelers Council 591, Order of The Eastern Star Chapter 283, Malta Home Auxiliary, and United Steelworkers of America Local 1940.
Diana was an avid reader and loved gardening and making crafts. She enjoyed baking and often made homemade candy to give to family and friends.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Avenue, Burnham, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Reverend Tom Morningstar officiating.
Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
