Delwain S. “Babe” Yocum, 86, of Lewistown, passed away at 12:26 a.m., Monday, March 29, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 7, 1934, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Rudie W. Sr. and Aretta I. (Ritter) Yocum.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Joyce H. Henry; daughter, Jamie Lynn Cramer; stepsons, Orris C. Knepp Jr., Barry W. Knepp and Larry M. Knepp; granddaughter, Brandy Lovette; great-granddaughter, Brook Knepp; and siblings, Betty Cals, Dorthey Burkholder, Sylvia Johnson, Margaret O’Hara, Mary Yocum, Rudie W. Yocum Jr., and Donald, Arthur and Terry Yocum. He was the last of his immediate family.
Delwain is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was a Lewistown High School graduate.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959.
Delwain most recently attended God’s Missionary Church in Lewistown.
He was employed at Wilson Tire and Auto, J-Wood, and retired from Trinity Plastics.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, with interment to take place at Samuel’s Cemetery, McClure.
