David Eugene Penepacker, 61, of Burnham, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville.
Born June 23, 1958, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late David Penepacker and stepmother, Linda, and Maryjean (Havice) Machamer and stepfather, Bob, who survive.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by: children, Brooke Varner of Lewistown, and Cody A. Penepacker and wife Alison, of IN; four grandchildren, Taylor Kibe, Gregory Varner, Hank Penepacker and Annie Penepacker; siblings, Michelle Shumaker of Ryde, Diana Penepacker of Lewistown, Lori Smith and husband Dennis of Lewistown, Robert Penepacker and wife Sarah of VA, Deb Parlanti of SC, and Matt Machamer and wife Nancy of SC.
He is preceded in death by his wife Donna (Cramer) Penepacker.
David was a 1977 graduate of Lewistown High School. After high school, he entered the United States Army. He worked at Hanover Foods for 16 years and was a proud union shop steward for UFCW local 1776. David enjoyed being around family and was an avid Alabama football fan.
In lieu of services, A Patriot Guard Ride will be organized in David’s honor.
