Charles J. Howell Jr., 68, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born August 30, 1952, in Selma, Alabama, he was a son of the late Charles J. Howell Sr. and Sarah (Cox) Howell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; a daughter, Sarah Dressler; grandson, Tanner Howell; and siblings, Jenny McKey, Myrt Tucker, William Howell, and Daniel Howell.
He is survived by; wife, Gloria Ann (Hartman) Howell, of Lewistown, whom he married on Jan. 15, 1973; children, Heather Harrison, of State College, Wendy Strausburg and husband, Rob, of Burnham, Brandy Snyder and husband, Tyler, of Lewistown, Krystal Fultz and husband, Clint, of McVeytown, and Charles J. Howell III and wife, Rhonda, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Josh, Jordan, Bella, Nicolas, Ty, Sadie, Sidney, Savannah, Catalina, Sebastian, Camden, Quinton, Zander, Tucker, and Libbi; three great-grandchildren, Chase, Carson and Max; siblings, Deborah Tullier and husband, Benny, of Louisiana, James Howell and wife, Sue, of Lewistown, and Alfred Howell, of Lewistown; and a large extended family.
Charles was retired from Protection Services in Linglestown.
He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, cooking, grilling, and gardening, he also enjoyed listening to music and was an avid Saints fan. He was always jovial, the life of the party, and always put a smile on everyone’s face.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., January 30, 2021, at Maitland Cemetery with Rev. John Walters officiating.
