Barbara Ann Yeater

Barbara Ann Yeater, 80, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Born on Feb. 26, 1942, in Edgewood, MD, she was a daughter of the late William and Esther (Snyder) Singley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband, Samuel L. Yeater, who passed May 22, 1997; and a brother, William Singley.

She is survived by; children, Harry R. Pennington and wife, Ann, of Arkansas, and Tammy M. Ruffner, of McVeytown; four grandchildren, John J. Folk, Elizabeth, and Amanda Ruffner, and Lisa Pennington; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Karen Singley, Evelyn Singley, and Lucille Singley.

Barb was a member of the Lewistown Assembly of God church, and Women of the Moose Auxiliary #212.

She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at Lewistown Hospital and Brookline Manor.

Earlier in life, she was very social and community oriented. She was very active in her church and at Grace Covenant church. She enjoyed being outdoors at Poe Valley camping and being in the water. She loved her family and being around her friends.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to Locust Grove.
