Barbara S. Carey

Barbara S. Carey, 71, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at her home.

Born December 25, 1948, in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary L. (Hess) Eves.

She is survived by: husband; Kenneth E. Carey, children; Wendy S. Nepper and husband, James, of Lewistown, Kenneth E. Carey and wife, Sherry, of Espy, PA., grandchildren; Donald Desanto, Mackenzie Carey, Gabrielle Desanto, Nicki Fultz, Cassi Kirk, Cory Nepper, and three great-grandchildren; Greyson, Jaxson, Kaiden; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a Central Columbia High School graduate.

In her earlier years, she worked at GMC in Danville as a  secretary in the CardioVascular department.

She enjoyed camping at Frontier Town with her kids, shopping, spending time at the beach with her friends, as well as spending time with her grandchildren, and going to all of their events. She also enjoyed going on trips to Williamsburg.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Espy Fire Hall, 300 Tenny Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
