Arvilla M. Isenberg, 78, formerly of Yeagertown, passed away at 7:44 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born Aug. 22, 1942, in Petersburg, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Edward T. and Dorothy A. (Harris) Mondo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, Robert J. “Ike” Isenberg, Aug. 25, 2006; sons, Keith L. and Stephen D. Isenberg; and a sister, Marion Frew.
Arvilla is survived by: children, Robert S. Isenberg and wife, Nina, of Newport, Dottie L. Thompson, of Milroy, Patty A. Wilson and companion, Bill Steele, of Lewistown, Janet E. Isenberg and companion, Bob Snook, of Lewistown, and Virginia I. Rook, of Port Royal; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Aldora Fink, of Va., Edward Mondo, of Mount Union, Milton “Whitey” Mondo, of Burnham, and Marjorie Matthews, of Mill Creek; many nieces and nephews; and son-in-law, Larry Rook Jr., of Lewistown.
She retired from the Mifflin County School District as a cafeteria worker.
Earlier in life, Arvilla enjoyed cooking and tending to her flower beds and lawn. She especially loved her cat, Lucky.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Birch Hill Cemetery, Burnham, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, First Ave., Burnham, is in charge of arrangements.
