Alice Elizabeth Harpster, 66, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Nov. 26, 1955, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bernice (Pecht) Peck.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen J. Peck.
Alice is survived by: children, Tabatha Vega and Jeremiah and Jonathan Harpster, all of Lewistown; seven grandchildren, Caleb and Xavier Vega, Michaela Hower, Dannyelle Gearin, Ashton Vega, and Miah and Allie Harpster; and seven siblings, Patricia Habbershon, of Belleville, Elouise Bechtold, Kenneth Peck, Richard Peck, all of Burnham, Gregory Peck, of Lewistown, Cindy Peck, of Burnham, and Sharon Landis, of Mifflin.
Early in life she was employed at Scotty’s Fashions. Alice later shoveled borings for Standard Steel Corporation.
Alice enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making crafts, baking, camping and playing Bingo at the Burnham and Brooklyn fire companies. She adored her children, grandchildren and her beloved cat, Missy. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at Pleasant View Cemetery, McVeytown, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
