William R. Parson, 59, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Oct. 25, 1959, in Altoona, he was the son of the late William R. Wance and Sara Jane (Parson) Bowers.
He is survived by: first wife, Bonnie Lukens, of Lewistown, and second wife, Jaime Sue (Summers) Parson, of Gettysburg, whom he married in November 2010; children, Teresa Miller-Snook and husband, James, of McClure, April Stahlman, of Lewistown, Anthony R. Parson, of Lewistown; stepchildren, Allison Woodie and Johnny Woodie, both of Maryland; four grandchildren, Janelle, Angel, Caleb and Jasmine; and one great-granddaughter, Ellie Ithica.
William served in the United States Army.
Earlier in life, he was a member of Decatur Fire Co., the forest fighter crew in Mifflin County and ABATE motorcycle club.
He was a jack of all trades and he could fix anything. He enjoyed working on cars, being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family.
A viewing will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with special services by VFW Post 7011.
