Tina M. Earnest

Tina M. Earnest, 62, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born March 29, 1956, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John Guthridge Sr. and Anna Jean (Tate) Guthridge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: three brothers, Donald (Jake), John, and Robert Guthridge; and one sister, Mary Stewart.

She is survived by: husband, John J. Earnest Jr., whom she married Feb. 18, 1973; children, John J. Earnest III and wife, Liz, of McClure, Scott A. Earnest and wife, Lori, of Lewistown, and Randal T. Earnest, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Nakeisha Manning and Natzizsha Earnest, of Union Hall, Va., and Randee and Reed Earnest, of Lewistown; great-grandchildren, Serenity (Paige), Addison and Colten Manning, and Myah Dyal; siblings, Libby (Joan) Hubler, of Lewistown, Linda Liddick, of Lewistown, Andrew Guthridge and wife, Darlis, of Mifflinburg, and Cindy Zimmerman and husband, Joe, of Shippensburg; two great-great-nieces, Keelynn and Kadley; and her beloved beagle, Ruger.

Earlier in life, Tina enjoyed babysitting for her family and friends. Later, she got a job working at the Lewistown Sentinel. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she shared a special bond with her great-great-nieces.

Per Tina’s request, there will not be a viewing.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at Mount Rock Cemetery, Oakland Ave., Lewistown, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
