Susan Mae Collins

Susan Mae Collins, 65, of Mattawana, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital after an extended battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 8, 1953, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John L. Weaver Sr. and Mary (McCardle) Weaver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; a brother, John Weaver Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Liddick.

She is survived by; husband, Clifford E. Collins, who she married in October 1999; children, Tyson Rittenhouse and wife, Jodie, of Pagosa Springs, Glen Goss and wife, Trisha, of Pagosa Springs, Dane Collins and wife, Danielle, of Lewistown; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Katherine Goss and husband, Robert, of McVeytown, Steven Weaver and wife, Brenda, of Milroy, Connie Khalid and husband, Al-Shokiras, of Lewistown, Robert Weaver and wife, Angelika, of Georgia, James Weaver, of Lewistown, and Raymond Weaver, of Lewistown.

Susan was a member of Pine Glen Church of the Brethren.

She was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1971.

Susan worked at many careers during her lifetime. She worked at Scotty’s Fashions for over 20 years, Fishers, Valley View, Marlette, Skills Group and retired as a caregiver in 2016.

She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed being outdoors taking pictures and gardening. She loved spending all her free time with her family and friends. She was very caring and dedicated to her family.

A receiving of friends and family will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at noon, at the funeral home with the Rev. Kurtis Swisher.

Interment will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery.
