Richard "Rick" E. Leister

Richard E. “Rick” Leister, 60, of Burnham passed away at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his home.

Born May 6, 1958 in Lewistown, he was the son of Floyd E. Leister, of McClure, and the late Nancy J. (Kauffman) Leister.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lori A. (Hartley) Leister, on July 22, 2001.

In addition to his father, he is survived by: sons, Gregory A. Leister, of Burnham, and Timothy J. Leister, of Baldwinsville, New York; and his siblings, Randy Leister and wife, Kim, of Lewistown, John Leister and wife, Cindy, and Nancy Leister, both of McClure.

Rick was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1976.

Earlier in life, he worked at New Holland, Rhodes & Sons, Agway, Burnham Borough, and lastly at A.C.P.I.

He was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church, Burnham, Fraternal Order Of Eagles Post 4294, and a lifetime member of Newtown Fire Co. He was also an avid NASCAR, Philadelphia Eagles, and Phillies fan.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 10 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham, with Pastor Patrick Traxler officiating.

A viewing will be held from 7 – 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 9 at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Birch Hill Cemetery, Burnham.
