Pearl E. Murphy, 93, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019.
Born April 20, 1926, in Burnham, she was a daughter of the late Samuel H. and Minnie (Young) Miller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Herman H. Murphy Sr., who passed in 1975; sons, Herman, Jr. and Charles; a daughter, Katherine C; and a daughter-in-law, Esther Murphy; six brothers; and four sisters, Pearl was the last of her immediate family.
She is survived by: children, Ralph W. Murphy, of Allensville, Belva I. Leach and husband, Randy, of Mifflintown, Dorothy Yoder and husband, William, of Longfellow, Alma M. Colpetzer and husband, Stanley, of Lewistown, and David A. Murphy and wife, Estella, of Texas; Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Freedom Avenue UMC.
Pearl worked at American Viscose Corporation and Empire Kosher
She liked to crochet and enjoyed playing 500 and Yahtzee.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 1st Ave., Burnham.
A second viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019, with a funeral service to follow at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Maitland Cemetery.
