Pamela F. Guss, 72, of Derry Twp., Lewistown, passed away at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, March 17, 2019, surrounded by her family, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born July 7, 1946, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (McKalips) Farran.
Pamela is survived by: her husband, Roger Guss, whom she married May 9, 1970; daughters, Andrea Guss, of Lewistown, and Alison Eckley and fiance, Aaron Bossinger, of Milroy; grandchildren, Parcer and Caely Eckley; a sister, Suzanne Williams and husband, Robert, of Camden, Maine; nephews, Greg and Nathan Williams; a niece, Emily Guss; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Guss.
Pamela graduated from Chief Logan High School with the Class of 1964. She then completed a year of coursework at Delaware Valley College and Upper Bucks County Technical School.
Pam retired from Standard Steel, where she was employed for over 45 years in various departments including Traffic/Shipping, the Lab, Engineering and Human Resources.
She dearly loved her family and was very proud to be her grandchildren's "Pam-ma." Pam enjoyed outdoor activities, family picnics, vacations and walking her golden retrievers. She always looked forward to visiting her sister in Maine and watching the schooners at the harbor.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsville.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the funeral home, with Rev. Carla Volland officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
