Nancy Ann (Harpster) Hannon

Nancy Ann Hannon, 76, of Lewistown, passed away at 1:02 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born Jan. 20, 1942 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Ethel I. (Mattern) Harpster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Keith Hannon.

Nancy is survived by: her husband, Jerry Douglas Hannon, whom she married June 2, 1962; children, Leslie Ann Knable, of McVeytown, Patrick Neal Hannon and wife, Karen, of Mifflintown, and Andrea Michelle Hannon and partner, Jessica Lyons, of Milroy; three grandchildren, Makenzie Brooke Peachey and husband, Zachary, Rebeka Ann Knable, and Madison Elizabeth Hannon; and her brothers, Larry I. Harpster and wife, Linda, of Lewistown and Kenneth E. Harpster and wife, Kathy, of Granville.

Nancy was a graduate of Lewistown Granville High School, Class of 1960.

She was a member of Ellen Chapel Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir.

Nancy was very good at crocheting and liked making things for her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and gathering for the holidays especially Christmas which was her favorite. She also enjoyed her two grand-dogs and four great-grand dogs.

A viewing will be held from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave, Burnham.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5 at Ellen Chapel Church with Pastor Mark Hill officiating. Friends and family may also view Nancy from 10 a.m. until time of the service at Ellen Chapel Church, 11764 Ferguson Valley Road., Lewistown.

Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
