Melvin R. Wray, 72, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:10 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Ohesson Manor.
Born Nov. 27, 1946, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Charles Russell and Edna Leigh (Leister) Wray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Melvin is survived by: his children, Barry Wray and wife, Amanda, of Lewistown, and Diana Miller, of McVeytown; grandchildren, Teri Himes and husband, Dairen, of McVeytown, and Dylan McKnight and companion, Taylor Snyder, of Lewistown; great-grandchildren, Rylan and Jayden Himes, of McVeytown; and a brother, Charles Herbert Wray and wife, Mary, of McClure.
He was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1964.
He was most recently employed as a newspaper carrier for the Harrisburg Patriot News for ten years.
Melvin loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved his dogs.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
