Mary V. (Hackett) Wagner, 82, of Lewistown, passed away at 10:19 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 8, 1935, in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Viola Hackett.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ronald C. “Pip” Wagner on Aug. 11, 2015; brothers, Earl, William, and Charles Fay, and Frank Hackett; and sisters, Elizabeth Hackett, Marion Dovic, and Helen Lyter. She was the last of her immediate family.
Mary is survived by: her daughters, Virginia D. Wagner, of Burnham, and Ronda K. Markley and husband, Sam, of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Dawn Treaster and husband, Howie, of Milroy, Arron McCurdy and wife, Rebecca, of Jackson, N.J., Miranda Heltman, Sam Markley Jr. and wife, Daria, and Sean Markley and wife, Amy, all of Lewistown; nine great-grandchildren, Caleb, Calvin, and Camryn Treaster, Ava and Conner McCurdy, Damian Heltman-Gray, and Derek, MacKenzie, and Tyler Markley; a number of special nieces and nephews; and all of her grand-puppies.
She was employed at the American Viscose Corporation in her early years, then as a manager at the Standard Steel Employees Federal Credit Union, and lastly, as a bookkeeper at Harry’s Fruit Market.
She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 283, Lewistown.
Mary enjoyed taking the family camping and spending time with them. She loved flowers, dogs, and always had a pot of coffee brewing for anyone who might stop by.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville, with Rev. Richard Bender officiating.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Mary’s special caregivers who took care of her while she was at home, and to all the staff at William Penn Healthcare and SUN Home Health and Hospice who provided comfort and compassion to Mary in her final days.
