John H. Fye Jr.

John E. Fye Jr., 77, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville.

Born June 8, 1942, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late John E. Fye Sr. and Nellie D. (McMillin) Fye.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Nancy J. (Murphy) Fye, whom he faithfully took care of for many years; and a son, John C. Fye; siblings, Sylvia Etters and an infant brother.

He is survived by: daughters, Wendy A. Davis and husband, Randal, of Texas, and Karen S. Barraclough and husband, John Sr., of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Jenna Davis, and John Barraclough Jr., and Tiffany and Eric Fye; great-grandchildren Brittany Preston, Meadow Shanica and Shantel; a great-great-granddaughter, Alayla; siblings, Robert W. Fye Sr., Shirley L. Cooper and husband, Leroy Sr., Michael E. Fye, and Norma J. Arnold and husband, James Sr., all of Lewistown.

John worked on the assembly line at Marlette Homes where he later retired.

He worked very hard continuously throughout his whole life. John was an officer and very active at City Hook & Ladder.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Juniata Memorial Park.
