Helen C. Fishter, 85, formerly of Lewistown, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Born Nov. 3, 1933, in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Helen C. (French) Stuter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Michael F. Fishter, M.D.; her son, Michael J. Fishter; her sister, Elizabeth L. (Stuter) Snyder; and her brother, James E. Stuter Jr.
She is survived by: grandchildren, Heather (Fishter) Reinchenbach and husband, Ryan, of Lewistown, and Nicholas Fishter, of Washington, D.C.; two great-grandchildren; and loving friends Richard and Connie Huber, Natalie Bryant, and Linda Wiedenmann.
Helen was a graduate of Menno-Union High School and Peirce College, Philadelphia.
Helen was a member and past president of the Mifflin County Auxiliary and charter member of Women’s Health Services Inc. She handled the operational and administrative functions for her husband’s medical practice and other business activities. She had been a co-owner of Genesis Systems Inc.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., at Juniata Memorial Park on Saturday, April 27, 2019, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating. Family and friends may gather at 10 a.m., at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, for the procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
