George R. Boreman

George R. Boreman, 60, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born Nov. 25, 1958, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Randall and Janet (Sassman) Boreman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Boreman.

George is survived by: his wife, Sara (Richie) Boreman, whom he married Sept. 19, 2000; step-children, Cheryl Semere, of Georgia, Tina Nace and fiance, Jack Miller, of McClure, and Carrie Marker and husband, Robert, of Florida; five siblings, Gloria, June, Joyce, Ellen, and Lester; three grandchildren, Serena Semere, Kendall Nace, and Natalie Marker; and a great-grandson, Remington Stewart.

George graduated from Lewistown Area High School, Class of 1977.

He retired from Mann Edge Tool Company with 30 years of service.

George loved country music and was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Mt. Rock Cemetery, Oakland Ave., Lewistown, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
