Francis "Frank" E. Schellenberg

Francis E. “Frank” Schellenberg, 96, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at Ohesson Manor.

Born Nov. 8, 1922, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Frank and Alice (Searer) Schellenberg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Nancy E. Schellenberg, who passed away in Dec. of 1999; a son, Frank C. Schellenberg; and a sister, Sue Schellenberg.

He is survived by: his children, Louisa N. Shawver and husband, John G., of State College, and Edward R. Schellenberg, of Lewistown; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and  great-great-grandchildren.

Frank was a Yeagertown High School graduate, Class of 1940.

Earlier in life, he worked at Standard Steel, then at Budd Co. in Philadelphia, and later retired from Sipler Plastics in Doylestown.

All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
