Dixie Lee (Baumgardner) Williams

Dixie Lee Williams, 79, of Lewistown, went to be with her Lord and Savior, at 7:15 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2019, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Dec. 17, 1939, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Blanche (Taylor) Baumgardner, and her stepmother, the late Amy Baumgardner.  In addition to her parents and stepmother, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert L. Williams Sr., July 22, 1999; a brother, John W. Baumgardner, in infancy; and four sisters; Blanche Baumgardner, Shirley Lane, Violet Sachs and Roberta Ross.

Dixie is survived by: her sons, Robert L. Williams, of Carlisle, and Randy L. Williams, of Lewistown; four grandchildren; Laura Gene Williams, Randy Skyler Williams, Sierra Williams and Storm Williams; four great-grandchildren, Ava Cox, Landen Lynn, Christopher Shavatt, and Deagon Bolger; and siblings, Harry "Buck" Baumgardner Jr., Bonnie Ritchey, Beatrice Rutherford, Amy Price, Michael Baumgardner Sr. and John D. Baumgardner.

She graduated with honors from Lewistown High School, Class of 1957, and was class treasurer.

Dixie was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and Lewistown Women of The Moose.

She was employed in the financial department of Jamesway.

Dixie loved eating at the Parkway and playing Bingo.  She lived and enjoyed life to the fullest.

A private graveside service will be held at Lind Memorial Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
