David Wilt

David Wilt, 73, of Decatur Twp., McClure, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at his home.    

Born June 6, 1944 in McClure, into a family of 14 brothers and sisters, he was a son of the late Lee David and Kathryn (Grenoble) Wilt.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.        

David was the beloved husband of Connie (Wagner) Wilt, whom he married Sept. 6, 1963, and the father of two children who loved him very much, David D. Wilt, of McClure, and Kimberly J. Finkenbiner and husband, Robert, of Lewistown.

Also surviving are:  five grandchildren; Kara Lyn Chapman and husband, Gregory, Kody Ryan Wilt, Kenneth Nace and wife, Liz, Kristopher Nace, and Kolby Nace; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Joseph Wilt and wife, Debbie, and Barbara Deamer and husband, Roy, both of Lewistown.  

David was a self-employed used car dealer before his retirement years and a jack of all trades.  He loved to travel with his wife and pet bird, “Baby Girl”.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 2 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Rick Wilt officiating.

A viewing is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 1, at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Wilt Cemetery, McClure.
