Carolyn L. White, 80, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at her home.
Born March 12, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Norman H. and Lucinda (Myers) Chesney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, William M. White Sr., who passed in October of 1995; and brothers, Herb Edmiston, Robert Chesney and Barry Chesney.
She is survived by: children, Kimbra L. Lundberg, and husband, William, of New Bloomfield, Kambra L. White, of Lewistown, Tammy L. Dudick, and husband, Stephen, of Lewistown, William M. White Jr. and wife, Beth, of McVeytown, and Melina Roberts, of New York; siblings, Norman “Mike” Chesney and wife, Brenda, of McClure, Jane Garrison, of Beaver Springs, Ann Bowersox and husband, Ned, Donna Weader, of Beavertown, Vicki Shreffler and husband, Gary, of Beaver Springs, John Chesney and wife, Kelly, of Middleburg and Ellen Chesney, of Lewistown; seven grandchildren, John Mason, Erica, Jarad, Erin, Evan, Emma and Mason; one great-grand- daughter, Ava; and her beloved dogs, Stewart, Lucy and Jaxson.
Carolyn was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.
She was a Lewistown High School graduate.
She was an assistant at Special Needs Center in Lewistown. Carolyn was a local chairwoman of the Fresh Air Fund for 22 years. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She loved spending time with her family.
A receiving of friends will be held from 1to 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at the First Church of the Brethren, 134 Shaw Ave., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Douglas Sherlock officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
