Brian M. Austin Sr., 63, of Lewistown, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at his home.
Born October 13, 1956, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William E. and Marie A. (Haller) Austin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a grandson, Kyle Austin; four brothers, Robert (in infancy), Richard, James, and Andrew Austin; and a sister, Sharon Guerrini.
Brian is survived by: his wife, Jeannie Austin, whom he married Nov. 9, 1974; children, Brian M. Austin Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Everett, and Tony W. Austin and companion, Aaron Coleman, of Phillipsburg, N.J.; four grandchildren, Shelby Austin and Hailey Austin, both of Lewistown, Grayson Austin, of San Antonio, Texas, and Ethan Austin, of Altoona; two step-grandchildren, Samuel Weller and Heiley Seibert, both of Everett; and six siblings, Nancy Stoner and husband, William Sr., and Marian Kulp, both of Lewistown, Shirley Virtue, of Douglasville, Ga., Janet Cram and husband, Hershel, of Granville, Gail Knepper and husband, Ronald, of Yeagertown, and Helen Katz and husband, Evan, of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian attended Lewistown Area High School.
He attended Bethel AME Church. Brian was a quiet, kind-hearted gentleman who loved God and his family, and had many interests.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Bethel AME Church, 23 N. Juniata St., Lewistown, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m., with Rev. Barry Spencer and Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating.
Hoenstine Funeral Home, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
