Brenda D. Carlson, 70, of Milroy, passed away at 9:08 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at her home.
Born February 2, 1948, in Burnham, she was a daughter of the late William Albert Smith and Virginia (Fultz) Smith. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a son, Garth Carlson, and her brother, Gary Lee “Butch” Smith.
Brenda is survived by: her husband, Terry D. Carlson Sr., whom she married Nov. 15, 1969; four sons, Terry D. Carlson Jr., of Milroy, Eric Carlson and wife, Stephanie, of Burnham, Aaron Carlson and wife, Chrystal, and Nathaniel Carlson and wife, Nichole, both of Milroy; four grandchildren, Richard Sr., Anthony, Cody and Kayle Carlson; three great-grandchildren, Richard Jr., Maxwell and Janessa Carlson; a sister, Lois Herbster, of Lewistown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Chief Logan High School, Class of 1966.
She attended Parkview Church of The Brethren in Lewistown.
Brenda was employed as a cook and maintenance supervisor at The Hartman Center in Milroy for over 20 years.
She loved reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m., at the funeral home, with Reverend Richard Bender officiating.
