Beth Ann (Barker) Peters

Beth Ann Peters, 60, of Lewistown, Derry Township, passed away at 3:16 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Dec. 13, 1957, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Madeline (Fisher) Barker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: brothers, Robert and Larry Barker; and her sister, Linda (Barker) Kess.

She is survived by: husband, Barry L. Peters, whom she married Sept. 21, 1996; sons, Matthew S. Bradley, of Milroy, and Daniel M. Bradley and wife, Marie, of Spring Mills; a grandson, David James "D.J." Bradley, of Spring Mills; and a brother, Carl "Skip" Barker and wife, Barb, of McVeytown.

Beth graduated from Lewistown High School.

She was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church in Lewistown and attended Buffalo Run United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.

She was employed as a registered nurse for 34 years at Lewistown Hospital and for five years at Mount Nittany Hospital in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

Beth loved spending time with her family, especially "D.J." She enjoyed outdoor activities including camping and watching the elk roam at Benezette in Elk County.

Per Beth's wishes, there will be no services.

Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, is in charge of arrangements.
